The Embedded VINO (eVINO) Project

The Embedded VINO (eVINO) Project

eVINO is an extensible embedded operating system targeted for intelligent network interface controllers (NIC) designed to offload high-performance servers.

eVINO is small, lightweight and extensible. It exports a simple device interface to the host operating system, making the NIC easily programmable.

eVINO is based on the VINO thread, transaction, extensibility and networking systems. The current implementation runs on NIC based on the Intel 80960 Rx I/O processor.
